"For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him" (2 Chronicles 16:9)
At a glance, God sees your situation no matter where you live. He knows perfectly your trial, your sorrow, your temptation. He looks longingly, waiting for you to put your full trust in Him. Erwin Lutzer reminds us: "God does not drop us into circumstances in which failure is inevitable. There is always a way out."
We ought to welcome each trial as an opportunity to shift our focus to God. If life were always sunny, there would be no need to prove the faithfulness of God. Circumstances are never so bad that they are beyond God's control. We cannot know in advance what good He will bring out of a seemingly hopeless situation, but good will surely come. Since the burdens of tomorrow are all in God's hands, you and I are free to live happily--one day at a time.
Prove His reliable faithfulness today. Turn to Him believing He is strong. He is able. Oh, for the perfect confidence that will allow Him to act.
When you talk to God 'He is as near as if there throbbed no heart but His and yours."
