"But He knoweth the way that I take: when He hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold" (Job 23:10).
No one is exempt from heartache and pain. But there is a Divine purpose in back of every trial -- that it might serve as an alarm system to draw us closer to God.
God does not waste circumstances on us. He thinks about us in the midst of our struggles, and He cares. Every thing He allows is for His glory and for our good. So look at each problem as a pressure point and an opportunity to prove God's strength. He is developing your character.
Even the failures in life can be used of God to get your attention. But He carefully watches the crucible. The heat will not destroy you. So do not short-circuit this opportunity for spiritual growth. When He has tried you, you "shall come faith as gold."
You've heard the announcement on radio: "This is a test. This is only a test." Hear it now in your heart. "Nevertheless, afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness" (Hebrew 12:11).
Pray for a faith that will not shrink when washed in the waters of affliction!
