LIGHT FOR MY DWELLING

DAY TWENTY TWO

WHAT SHOULD I GIVE?

READ ROMANS 8:28-34

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a loving sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service" (Romans 12:1).

Awesome love! Infinite grace! Peace beyond all understanding! Joy unsurpassable! All these are offered to you freely, as you present your body to the Lord Jesus. Do not hesitate or be fearful. The tempter might whisper, "God will ask you to do the opposite of what you want," or, "God will take away good things from you."

Trust God. Everything He asks of you is for your own good. Even the hard things of life can become vehicles of blessing to transport you to victory. "All things work together for good to them that love God" (Romans 8:28,29). His will is good. It is acceptable and perfect. Embrace it with open arms. Enjoy its warmth. The more you press His will to your bosom, the greater the blessings you will know in your life.

In view of God’s abundant mercies, present your bodies without reservation. It is not unreasonable, but a miraculous invitation of Grace.

Lord, You've given more to me
Than I could give to You—
Your grace and mercy, love and joy;
My body is Your due.
