LIGHT FOR MY DWELLING

DAY FIFTEEN

A SURE FOUNDATION

READ PROVERBS 12:1-7

The wicked are overthrown, and are not; but the house of the righteous shall stand" (Proverbs 12:7).

Solomon learned that the righteous person is blessed beyond measure. He wrote, "God’s secret is with the righteous." "The desire of the righteous shall be granted." "The righteous is delivered out of trouble." "The seed of the righteous shall be delivered." "The righteous shall flourish as a brand." "The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life." "To the righteous, good shall be repaid." "In the house of the righteous is much treasure." "The righteous doth sing and rejoice."

A righteous person is one who uncompromisingly obeys the Word of God. Righteousness is its own reward. God guarantees that the house of the righteous will survive the fiercest of storms. It is imperative that we live soberly and righteously and teach righteousness to our children and to our children’s children. God’s best rewards for righteousness are "out of this world." You will not be disappointed.

Blessed beyond measure, how wondrous the thought,
The house of the righteous shall stand;
Desires God grants us, true treasures abound
On our way to that heavenly land.

My Omnipotent One, You alone can keep me and my home from falling.
