Angels serve the Lord. They gladly do His bidding. They see the sovereign Lord and they are in awe at the golden privilege of pleasing the Maker of the Universe. Their wish is to do nothing but that which was appointed for them.

Those ministering angels would say to us, "Child of God, you could not serve a greater Master. You are so privileged. Go! Do all He bids you. You’re not too weak for His strength. You are not too insignificant. No task is too small. No place is too obscure. If you knew all the glories that await you, you would serve with joy."

Christian, you are in God’s royal presence right now, though you cannot yet see Him. Recognize with gratitude your appointed task. Serve and be glad. Sing His praises.

Let me know the joy of service
In the courtyard of my King;
In Thy presence, Lord, I worship,
And to You my tributes bring.

Merciful Master, I would serve You with gladness.
