"Now unto him that is able to keep you from
falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding
joy" (Jude 1:24). Are you afraid of falling, of failing, of succumbing
to some sin? You tremble when you look at human vulnerability. You become intimidated when
you ponder the power of the enemy. But look to Jesus Christ "who for the joy that
was set before Him endured the cross." He alone is "able to keep you
[your children, your grandchildren] from falling." With the Psalmist you can say,
"I have set the LORD always before me: because He is at my right hand, I shall not
be moved" (Psalm 16:8). One day Christ will present His trusting ones "faultless before
the presence of his glory with exceeding joy." Breathtaking, exceeding joy!
Believe it. An omnipotent hand grasps the arm of each believing child to guide him through
earths shadows and across lifes treacherous terrain to the very throne of God.
There we will be presented with joy to the Father.
Look to Jesus, child of God—
One day you'll faultless be;
Your failures and temptations past,
With joy His face you'll see.
