READ PSALM 37:1-7
"They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint" (Isaiah 40:31).
Wait! But I have waited. Nothing seems to change. How much longer must I watch the horizon and long for the dawn?
Wait patiently. "Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him" (Psalm 37:7). Surely then my strength will be renewed.
Wait expectantly. "Lord, what wait I for? My hope is in Thee" (Psalm 39:7). No one works like the Almighty God. His "waits" are often pregnant with blessings.
It has been said God has a great "ways and means department." His ways are higher than our ways. He is too wise to make a mistake and too loving to be unkind.
Gods timing is always right, so I must wait today upon the Lord. I will not be content to wallow in self-pity. I shall mount up like an eagle, on the wings of faith, above earths quagmire to get Gods perspective. The inner man is getting stronger. Oh, joy!
I've
waited, oh Lord, for Your timing,
I've waited and waited so long;
But the end I know will be perfect,
And You'll give me sweet peace and a song.
