"And when they saw the star they rejoiced with exceeding great joy" (Matthew 2:10).
The star that led the wise men to Jesus has a message for us today: one can only find "exceeding great joy" in the Lord Jesus Christ. So look to Him for your joy — the One who, with His Father, made the galaxies.
Scientists tell us that the milky way numbers 100,000 stars. Quasars, discovered in 1963, are believed to be the brightest objects known to man. One quasar alone is 200 times brighter than the milky way. It is no wonder that wise men and women still seek the Creator of them all.
Rejoice! The Maker of the galaxies has all wisdom, even for your circumstance today. "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God Who giveth to all men liberally . . . . and it shall be given him" (James 1:5).
The One who sustains the stars and planets wants to shine into your situation and make your pathway bright and clear. He will cause you to rejoice with "exceeding great joy." Invite Him to be Lord of your life.
Sun of my soul, Thou Savior dear,
It is not night if Thou be near;
O may no earthborn cloud arise
To hide Thee from Thy servant's eyes!
