"I will praise Thee, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are Thy works, and that my soul knoweth right well" (Psalm 139:14).
Yale University biophysicist, Harold Morowitz, estimates that the human body is worth six million dollars. And that price covers only the raw materials like hormones, proteins, and enzymes. The intricate work of fashioning the material into human cells might cost six thousand trillion dollars. And assembling these cells into a functioning human being would drain all the world's treasures. The professor makes this understatement: "Each human being is priceless."
You may not feel "priceless" when you are washing dishes, or sitting at your office desk or shopping for groceries or waiting in the doctor's office. But stop and think! You are a miracle of creation. No scientist can create something out of nothing or shape a complicated solar system and keep it running. God alone has that power. And in infinite wisdom He designed you! You are God's "Wonder packet." As such, you are invaluable.
As you dedicate yourself to God, no handicap or inadequacy can keep you from being used by Him in His glorious program.
"Lord, I am Yours. Use me."
