"Thou will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee, because he trusteth in Thee " (Isaiah 26:3).
Hundreds of lavender crocuses blooming on a Pennsylvania lawn in mid-February! Do they not know the calendar says "Winter"? Are they not aware a heavy snow storm could be in the forecast? Bloom! Bloom! Bloom! That is exactly what they are supposed to do, cheering passersby, caring less about possible storms.
Are you a "bloomer" even in winter.
Margaret Clarkson, in her book "Grace Grows Best in Winter" writes, "In acceptance lieth peace. Acceptance is taking from God's hand absolutely anything He chooses to give us, looking up into His face in love and trust, even in thanksgiving."
God is in control of everything that surrounds us, good or evil. Don't let circumstances keep you from blooming. Misunderstanding, discouragement, pressures of pain may be God's magnet to draw you to Him. Trust Him completely. He will do you no harm.
In blooming we experience peace and joy. Passers-by take notice as they sense the beauty and fragrance of Christ in us.
Someone has said, "One person with a glowing experience with God is worth a library full of arguments."
So bloom!
