DAY TWENTY FIVE

THE FINAL WORD

"Hear the Word of the Lord, you that tremble at His Word.- Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for My name's sake, said, Let the Lord be glorified. But He shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed" (Isaiah 66:5).

Chester Bedell, an atheist, said, "There is no God. If there be a God or any truth in the Bible let my body be inhabited with snakes." He had a monument made of himself. Under his left foot is a scroll representing the Bible with the inscription "Superstition." Since his burial, his grave has been full of snakes. Neighbors say that the more they kill, the more numerous they seem to be.

All around you are those who blatantly defy God. They speak boldly. They live proudly. Their earthly successes may astound you. But do not be intimated. You are God's light, tiny as it might be, in their dark world. Do not cease shining into their spiritual darkness.

The last chapter has not been written. God will have the final word!

So "let the Lord be glorified" in your life. Do not give up. All will be well. Christ will appear in due time. Then "at the name of Jesus every knee shall bow. . ..and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father" (Philippians 2:10,11).

Joy forever!
