DAY THIRTY

I FORGIVE

"And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you always, having all sufficiency in all things may abound to every good work" (2 Corinthians 9:8).

A husband walks out on a wife. A wife walks out on her husband. The end? No! Enter God's grace.

F.B.Meyer says, "Do not sit down before that mistaken marriage, that uncongenial business, that physical weakness, as though thy life must be a failure; but take in large reinforcements of that Divine grace which is given to the weak and to those who have no might."

God's grace and love are deposited in your life. Grace gives you endurance, and love forgives the inconsiderate actions of others. Someone described forgiveness as "the fragrance flowers breathe when trampled upon""

Look to God for His Divine intervening. Accept His forgiveness and pass it on to the one you might rather not forgive. "I can forgive, but I cannot forget," is only another way of saying, "I will not forgive."

"Forgiveness ought to be like a cancelled note, torn in two and burned up, so that it never can be shown against one." —H.W.Beecher

"You never so touch the ocean of God's love as when you forgive and love your enemies." —Corrie Ten Boom
