"Always in every prayer of mine making request for you all with joy" (Philippians 1:4).
Susannah Wesley prayed daily for one hour for her seventeen children. She also spent an hour a week with each child to discuss spiritual things. No wonder two of her sons, John and Charles, were greatly used of God in England and America.
Through prayer we all can have a profound influence on the lives of others: our children, our grandchildren, our friends, and even strangers. What a worthwhile investment for eternity! We can reap rewards in this life and in the life to come.
In the middle of a telephone conversation a grandmother said to her eight-year-old grand- daughter, "I prayed for you this morning."
"I prayed for you too," came the surprising answer.
"So, I guess, instead of being pen pals, we are prayer pals," the child concluded. Some days later the grandmother received a delightful birthday gift from her little "prayer pal." It was a
large coin with the words "PRAYER PARTNER' engraved on it. What a treasure!
Become prayer partners with others and know the joy of ministering to them at the throne of God.
"More things are wrought by prayer than this world dreams of." -Tennyson
