ANCHORS OF HOPE

DAY TWENTY FOUR

READ PHILIPPIANS 2:9-11

"And they shall know that I am the LORD" (Ezekiel 6:10).

Are you grieved when your dearest friend, the Lord Jesus, is misunderstood and slandered? You want everyone to know Him as you do. You take a quick upward glance and nestle your hand closer into His, as if to give Him fresh assurance of your love and devotion.

One day every eye shall see our Lord in all His glory and power. We anticipate with joy this great and eternal vindication of the One we love, as He reveals Himself to a silenced universe. His works will be vindicated. His word will be vindicated. His ways will be vindicated. His children will be vindicated. Everyone shall "know that Thou hast loved them as Thou hast loved Me," (John 17:23).

"I will make them to know that I have loved thee" (Revelation 3:9).

What grand compensation this is for any tiny share we may now have in the world-wide misunderstanding of our God and His people.

"That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God, the Father" (Philippians 2:10,11).
