ANCHORS OF HOPE
DAY NINE
READ HEBREWS 7:25-28
"For Christ is entered into Heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us" (Hebrews 9:24).
"Wherefore, He is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by Him, seeing He ever liveth to make intercession for them" (Hebrews 7:25).
The throne! The magnificent throne of God! Blazing, dazzling light! Dare I enter to petition the "Father of Lights"? The darkness of sin has tainted me. I am unfit and undeserving to stand in God’s Holy presence.
But look! Jesus Christ, the Light of the world, the bright and morning Star, has invaded my wicked world. He gave Himself a sacrifice for my sin. I received that sacrifice, and He flooded my life with glory.
Today Jesus intercedes on my behalf before the Father at the throne of eternal justice. The Father responds, "Yes, I accept that one as My own."
"Let us, therefore, come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need" (Hebrews 4:16).
Wonder of wonders, I come because I am welcome! I find joy and comfort in knowing I am so well represented in Heaven!
