TOUCHING THE HAND OF GOD

I touched the hand of God today
When on life’s path I paused to pray;
That friendly clasp no man could see,
As sovereign love reached down to me.

A child now by my father’s side,
I take each circumstance in stride;
No fear or foe can bring me harm,
My strong defense is God’s strong arm.

And so I journey on my way
E’er linked to God from day to day;
Our sweet communion knows no end,
He is my dearest, kindest Friend.
