This
Christmas day
I'd like to say
Just how I feel.
This feeling's real,
It's not a joke,
It's not a fake,
It's really real,
For goodness sake.
This feeling
That I feel inside
Is something
That I cannot hide.
A feeling of love
For God above
Who sent His Won,
His only one.
I also feel
A feeling for
The Son of God
Who Mary bore.
He came to earth
For you and me,
That from our sins
We'd be set free.
He died upon
A wooden cross,
And there
His human life
He lost.
On the third day
He was risen,
And then ascended
Into Heaven.
Because the Lord
Did all these things,
Thanks is what
This poem brings.
It also brings
A lot of love
To Christ
My Savior
Up above.
